I’m excitedly looking forward to attending a women’s conference this coming weekend, where the theme is “I Am Enough”. Simple, yet powerful words that speak loudly to my spirit. Many young women have poor self-image and low self-esteem because they’ve been told that unless they meet a certain standard of dress, look or behavior, they are not good enough and that they are not acceptable in their current state. Young women constantly strive to fit in, sometimes with dangerous consequences. Many young women have fallen prey to various addictions or have found themselves participating in risky or uncharacteristic behavior — while seeking acceptance.

It is time that we embrace the truth that we are made in the image of God and because there is nothing lacking in Him, there’s nothing lacking in us! Although we were born in sin and shaped iniquity, Christ gave His life to bring us back into right standing with God…making us acceptable and ENOUGH. We may not be good all the time, but we are enough. We may miss the mark sometimes, but we are enough. We may struggle in our walk, but today I declare, we are enough! I encourage you to walk in the beauty of your strength today! Simply because you are enough!

Take action now: Meditate on Proverbs 16:20: He who heeds the word wisely will find good. And whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he (New King James Version)

Embrace this truth: I lack nothing and I am enough!

  1. I will share this post with my weekly park, Bible Study class.  Many are homeless, isolated and excluded.  I sense your words will give them hope as they dare to see themselves through our Father’s eyes.  Thank you.
